That would be great! Also.. no video cards. It all needs to be in the cpu for video and physics. :)

Yeah, quadcore is a nice idea indeed. With my miniature budget though i'd be happy to migrate to dual-core by the end of the year ;)

Depends. Do you really need to spend that much money to reduce the time?

Only do it if timelines are an issue for you.

what? yes, there are already quad-core-processors... Did you see the new Alan Wake (finnish game) video? the had to use all 4 cores just for the physics engine!!
My computer says (1 Processor (2 cores)) :O_o:

eh, why is all this multi-processor, dual core, sli crap the accepted norm?

Ill tell you, they have hit a wall with physical busses, meaning they cant fit any more they cant go faster.

Either they cant accept the fact that they need alternative technology, or they cant produce the technology but pcs have hit the power wall, with marginal upgrades for big $$

optics is where its at
